We are a passionate couple from the Tarn region of south-west France who have decided to live our Norwegian dream with our sled dogs.
After discovering the “ Fjellregion” in central Norway in 2007 during a sledding competition, we moved in 2009 to Moen Gard, a large wooden farmhouse at the foot of the highlands in Hodalen, in the heart of the Norwegian nature.
We have renovated the farm to welcome our guests in a way that respects the surroundings. The buildings are made of old logs and we wanted to preserve the spirit of the place in all simplicity.
Jean-Philippe Pontier, musher mechanic and fisherman on his website www.team-pontier.com
Passionate about sled dogs since the age of 18, French champion in 2004 and winner of La Grande Odyssée Savoie Mont Blanc in 2014, he continues to take part in long-distance competitions in Norway.
Stéphanie, an engineer by training, is curious about technology, progress and culture, and loves nature, photography and reading. She prepares all the dishes served at the farm. Norwegian, French, inventive, colourful, tasty…
Our ambition is to share our world with you and to help you discover this small but beautiful country.
